Alfons L. Deboer

Alfons L. ”Luke”  DeBoer, age 83, of Wautoma, passed away Christmas evening, December 25, 2016 at his home with his family at his side.

He was born January 30, 1933 in Malang, Indonesia, the son of Meinard Victor Alfons Leon deBoer and Elizabeth C. Roentoewene.  He married Edna (Sparks) Luhm on January 28, 2006 in Wautoma.

Luke moved to the United States at the age of 27.  After settling in the United States he was employed at Ladish Company in Cudahy, Wisconsin.  He attended the Crossroad Family Church in Wautoma where he met his loving wife, Edna.

He is survived by his wife, Edna DeBoer, Wautoma; his children, Cassie (Seb) Busalacchi, Oxford, Candi (Jeff) Hauck, Milwaukee, Cari (Rick) Bower, Milwaukee, Tonya (Pete) Robinson, Almond, Tony (Dawn) Peterson, Wautoma, Judi (Bob) McCall, Wautoma; 23 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; his sister, Anita (Jan) Vissers, France; his brothers, Frans (Inge) deBoer, Milwaukee, Victor (Hilly) deBoer, Netherlands; sister-in-law, Nesta deBoer, Netherlands; brother-in-law, Loek Van Eijck, Netherlands;  further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Miranda deBoer and Geraldine Van Eijck and his brother, Ronald deBoer.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Crossroads Family Church, Wautoma with the Pastor Todd Winkler officiating. Burial will be in the  North Dakota Cemetery, Town of Dakota, Waushara County, Wisconsin.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Stahl Funeral Home 913 West North Street, Plainfield and from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of services Saturday at the church.  .  Send your condolences or share a memory of Luke with his family & friends at plainfieldfuneralhome.com.
