Biography
Our beloved mother, Ann Marie Hosen, age 73, of Hancock, died Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Wild Rose Community Memorial Hospital after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 13, 1936 in Chicago, IL., the daughter of Emil and Anna (Sindelar) Steiner. She married Richard Hosen and raised the family that was the world to her always putting her children first.Ann Marie was a CNA, EMT, and Health Unit Coordinator at Adams County Memorial Hospital. She was a loving, caring person who will be missed by her family and friends. She is survived by six children, Shelley (Pete) McLain, Grand Marsh, David Hosen, Ed Hosen, Alex Hosen, Steve Hosen, and Cathy (Chris) Truehl, all of Hancock; seven grandchildren, Suzanne (Peter Heinzen) McLain-Heinzen, Portland, OR, Tricia McLain, Grand Marsh, Nic, Zac, Brad, Ben Truehl, and Valerie Hosen, all of Hancock; four great-grandchildren, Cailey McLain, Connor and Dash Sweeney, Grand Marsh, and Alayna McLain, Portland, OR.; two sisters, Rita Cayton, Coloma, and Rosemary Bloede, Pueblo, CO. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, and her dear friend, Patti Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; one brother, Emil Steiner; one sister, Florence Smith; her son, Robert Hosen, and by an infant daughter, Roxanne. Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. in the Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services.
