Audrey Kromrie

Biography

Audrey L. Kromrie, age 78, of the town of Dakota, died unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon, February 13, 2013, at Theda-Clark Medical Center, Neenah. She was born April 20, 1934 in the town of Newton, Marquette County, the daughter of Marvin and Edna (Schwersenska) Semrow. She married Harold A. "Harry" Kromrie on April 17, 1954 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Crystal Lake. He preceded her in death on May 4, 2011. Audrey was a graduate of Westfield High School. She was employed as Head Cook at Westfield High School for 20 years until her retirement. Later, she cooked at Parkside School in Wautoma for several years.
Audrey loved the outdoors and growing flowers. Also, she enjoyed shopping and going to rummage sales. She especially enjoyed camping with her family at Lake Sharon and spending time with her grandchildren. Audrey was a faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Crystal Lake. She also enjoyed being a volunteer with Dakota-Richford American Legion Post 163. She is survived by four children, Paul (Pam) Kromrie, Dakota, Debbie (Gary) Jannette, Adams, Christine (David) Myers, Darboy, Michelle (Gary) Gmeiner, Larsen; five grand- children, Rhianna and Colton Myers, Dylan and Isabelle Gmeiner, and Cody Kromrie; one sister, Karen (Tom) Jahnke, Shiocton; one brother, Donald (Lois) Semrow, Coloma; her sister-in-law, Ruth Wright, Stevens Point. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Crystal Lake with Rev. Blaine O. Niskanen officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Leikness Funeral Home in Wautoma and on Sunday at church from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services.
