Barbara J. (Krubsack) Downey

Barbara J. Downey, age 69, of Plainfield, passed away peacefully Monday evening, October 22, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family.
Barbara was born May 30, 1949 in Marshfield; the daughter of Melford and Joyce (Johnson) Krubsack.
Barbara originally moved to Plainfield in 1974 and returned in 2005. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She held many different positions and jobs throughout her life, finally retiring from McCains in 2000.
Barbara's most cherished role in her life was being a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by Thomas Downey and their four daughters Brenda Downey, Shellie Hansen, Jennifer Downey, and Chris (Johnny) Lockhart; her loving grandchildren, Kiana, Kenzie, Kaden, Danielle, Dillon, Amber, Carly, Joshua, Dakota, and Kaylee; great grandchildren, Caitlin, Riley, Xzavier, Maci and was anxiously awaiting her fifth; her siblings, Richard (Nancy) Krubsack and Andrea Hayek; her very special friend Pat Schulz, further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and her first granddaughter, Amanda Hansen.
