Benjemen (Big Benny) L. Ernst Jr age 46, of Plainfield formerly of Wild Rose passed unexpectedly on Tuesday October 14, 2014 at work.
Benny was born to Benjemen L. Ernst Sr. and Verdell M. (Bushweiler) Ernst on July 6, 1968.

In May 2004 Benny began dating his longtime girlfriend Brooke McLarnan. Benny was a long time truck driver.

Benny never met a stranger and had a smile that could light up a room. He lived life to the fullest. Everyone that knew Benny loved him. Benny enjoyed many hobbies: ice racing, stock car racing, hunting, spending time with family and friends, most of all riding his Harley’s with his many great friends.

Benny is survived by longtime girlfriend: Brooke McLarnan; siblings: Linda (Charles) Brownlow, Daniel (Katherine) Ernst; nieces: Sarah (Bradley) Rothermel, Stephanie (Kenneth) Meronk, Tanya (Steve) Abrams, nephews: Jaime Lipke, Jacob Ernst; aunt: Sheryl (Roger) Otte; uncle: Howard Palek; many family and friends. Benny was preceded in death by his father: Benjemen L Ernst Sr., mother: Verdell M. (Bushweiler) Ernst; grandparents: Louis and Lucille Ernst, Ervin and Anna Bushweiler; aunts and uncles: Beverly Palek, Shelby and Lawrence Rosin, Beverly and Harvey Groskreutz, Billie Ernst and numerous cousins.

Memorial services will be held at 11AM on Monday, October 20, 2014 at Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield with burial in Wild Rose Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at the funeral home from 4-7PM. The visitation will continue on Monday at the funeral home from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM.
