Betty J. (Footit) Zimmerman

Betty J. Zimmerman, age 94, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Wellington Place in Wisconsin Rapids.

She was born February 6, 1930 in Pine Grove the daughter of Merle L. and Lydia E. (Christensen) Footit.

Betty grew up in the Bancroft her entire life where she worked for several potato farms and Ray Teal Nursery for 10 years (now Laura Lanes Nursery). She retired from Paramount Farms after 30 years of service. She enjoyed watching her birds, putting puzzles together, playing bingo, tending to her flowers and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Ron (Helen) Hutkowski, Mike (Diane) Hutkowski, Debbie (Bob) Turner, Kathy (Scott) Sawyer and Brenda (Wayne) Hutkowski; her 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Pat Footit; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son Raymond Hutkowski, and three brothers, Merle, Dale and Earl.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Almond.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. Monday until the time of services at the church.  Burial will be in the Spiritland Cemetery, Plainfield.
