Carol A. (Bush) Staffeldt

Carol Anne Staffeldt, age 72, of Hancock, passed away Friday afternoon, December 29, 2017 at St. Clares Hospital, Weston surrounded by her family.

She was born October 17, 1945 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Don and Margaret (Garland) Bush.  She married Gary Staffeldt on July 16, 1966 in Waukesha.

Carol graduated from Pewaukee High School.  After graduation she met the love of her life and they later moved to rural Hancock in 1977.  Carol was the Postmaster at the Hancock Post Office for several years until her retirement.  Carol was an avid outdoors lady who enjoyed hunting alongside her husband and canine companions Lady and Roxie.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and trap shooting.

Carol is survived by her husband of 51 years, Gary Staffeldt, Hancock; her loving children, Tracie (Steve) Ter Maat, Stevens Point; Craig (Cinda)  Staffeldt, Oviedo, Florida; grandchildren, Kaitlin and Abigail Ter Maat; her sister, Margaret (Phil) Stier, Sussex, WI; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her seven siblings.

To honor the family’s wishes, private family services will be held.  The Stahl Funeral is assisting the family with arrangements.
