Charlotte V. (Poole) Pemble

Charlotte Virgene Pemble, age 78, of Pine River, formerly of Wautoma, passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, December 26, 2019 at ThedaCare Hospital in Neenah with family around her.

She was born February 21, 1941 in Richland Center, Wisconsin, the daughter of Virgil P. and Eunice C. (Janecek) Poole.  She married Robert “Bob” Pemble on September 10, 1982.

Virgene, as she was known, was a 1959 graduate of Brookfield Central High School.  After graduation she attended technical college to become a flight attendant and later became a travel agent.  After marriage to Bob in 1982 Virgene, moved to Bob’s Tree Farm in Wautoma where she made a cabin a full time home.  She enjoyed spending time outdoors, watching wildlife, vegetable and flower gardening, quilting, photography, baking and nearly any craft you imagined Virgene would make.  Her quilting and photography received many awards.  Virgene was a faithful member of the Waushara Community Church in Wautoma, the Christian Women’s Club and Quilters Guild. Most importantly Virgene loved Jesus! With the unconditional love that she received from Jesus, she loved others in so many ways.

She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob’ Pemble, Pine River; her step children, Kim (Ann) Pemble, Port Washington, Julie (Norman) Peterson, Grantsburg; her grandchildren, Bjorn (Tabatha) Peterson, Dresser; Soren Peterson, Grantsburg and Toby Talsma (honorary grandson), Grantsburg; her siblings, JoAnn, Joy and Gordon; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many wonderful caring friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Jan.  Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 3, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in the Waushara Community Church, Wautoma.  Visitation from 9:30 A.M. Friday until the time of services at the church. Burial will be in the Hope Lutheran Cemetery.
