Cynthia (Cindy, Grandma LouLou) Sexton Chappa, age 61, passed away in her Plainfield home on August 18, 2023 with her faithful husband, Ed, by her side after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born on December 8, 1961 to Edward and Nancy Sexton in San Francisco, CA. She was the oldest of three siblings and loved her sister Cathy and brother Colin dearly.

After moving to WI from CA her junior year of high school, she met her future husband Ed, who proposed after only 1 month of dating. They were married on September 5, 1981. They both knew they had found their forever love and went on to have 42 years of adventures together.

Cindy will always be remembered for her infectious child-like joy and laughter when she got excited about something. She loved riding horse with her family and her beloved Cisco brought her so much peace and companionship through the years.  You could always count on her to gasp and point out the next “most pretty” fall colored tree or a beautiful ray of sunshine. She taught us all how to find joy in the simple things in life. Her favorite place in the world was sitting by her husband on Antler Ridge in Montana, watching God’s glory unfold in sunrises, sunsets, and rainbows.

Cindy was a living example of a Proverbs 31 godly woman and showed so much love and devotion to her family while walking daily with God.  She was a warm and dedicated mother and teacher to her five children. She raised them to know the importance of loving Jesus first, above all, with both her words and her actions. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7

Cindy is survived by her husband, Ed, daughters, Michelle (Wally Schmitt, Kiarra, Kylie, Kora, Kassidy, Jericho), Lisa (Jarrod Harvey, Joslyn), Jessica (Nick Engel, Maliya Lou, Ailana, Cali), Jamie (Dan McCarthy, Taylor, Claire, Katelyn), and son Joshua (Lyndsay Chappa, Jace), sister Cathy Lecompte, brother Colin Sexton, and mother Nancy Sexton.

Visitation will be from 10-11am on August 26, 2023 at Waushara Community Church in Wautoma, with service to follow directly after.
