Daniel A. Mcbrair

Daniel A. McBrair, age 74, of Sherwood, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday morning, October 23, 2016, following a brief illness with cancer.

He was born July 10, 1942 in Sheboygan, the son of James and June (Guetschow) McBrair.  He was raised in Plainfield and graduated from Tri-County High School, and later enlisted in the Navy.  Upon completion of services, he became a cosmetologist and worked in Wisconsin until his marriage to Geri On-The-Hill, they moved to Florida were he worked and lived for eight years.

Returning to Wisconsin he worked and operated the “Cut Above Salon” in Sheboygan until his retirement.

Dan enjoyed Packer Games with his family and friends, as well as many fishing trips with his son and grandsons.  He loved gardening and cooking was his pastime.

Dan is survived by his son, Christopher (Laura) McBrair, Sherwood; two grandsons, Dain and Gavin McBrair, both of Sherwood; his two sisters, Patricia (Max) Harrington, Plainfield and Colleen (Tom) Altenburg, Crawfordsville, FL.; further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James.

The family would like to thank Dr. Vijay Chaudhary and staff of Theda Clark oncology for their compassionate care throughout Dan’s treatments.
