In 1972 they started a family together. She devoted her life to her husband and children, staying at home to raise them.
A talented seamstress and crafty woman, she could make the greatest creations. She loved to cross stitch and enjoyed giving her projects as gifts to others.
She spent the last nine years working at Donaldson’s in Stevens Point. She took great pride in her work there, and made some very close dear friends that have supported her through this battle.
Never once after she was diagnosed with the pancreatic cancer did she feel sorry for herself or ask “Why me?” She pushed through and defied the odds. She knew that she was given more time than most that face this disease and focused on “making memories” with her children and grandchildren. Cancer took her body, but it never took her love of family, of life or her spirit. She passed away with the same spirit and tenacity that she had while she was battling this disease. She never gave up.
She leaves behind her children: Dana Wanichek(Bo) Plover, Jacob(Joyce) Wanichek Madison, David (Trudy) Wanichek, Plainfield, and Darce (Eric) Fredrickson Sycamore, IL. Her grandchildren that she was so very proud of and bragged about any chance she could. Her beloved sister Vicki (John) Gengler, Plainfield, Also survived also by her Aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends who supported her during her fight with cancer.

As she always said. “Remember every day is a good day. Some days are just better than others”, “Someone else is going through something worse than this right now” but most importantly “Make memories, you need to make memories.”
