Delbert W. Ostrander

Delbert W. Ostrander, age 91, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away December 10, 2022 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.

He was born October 31, 1931 in Bancroft, the son of Floyd and Ruby (Campbell) Ostrander.  He married Amy L. Leavitt on June 21, 1952 in Hancock. She preceded him in death on January 5, 2017.

Delbert was employed at the Nekoosa Papermill for several years until his retirement.  When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed spending time on his hobby farm, riding his “Little Red” 4x4 side-by-side but most of all spending time with his grandchildren.

Delbert is survived by his three daughters, Carol Ostrander, Diane (David) Nowak and Patricia (Bill) Turner; his grandchildren, Dave (Bobbi Jo) and Devin (Jami) Nowak, Corey and Aden (Jamie) Knipple, Ashley (Rick) Grunden; his eleven great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Patsy Ostrander; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Sharleen Ostrander and Jo Knipple, and brothers, Clifford, Jerry and Robert and sisters, Helen, Jane and Hazel.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. Monday until the time of services at the funeral home.
