Dennis W. Weis

Dennis W. Weis, age 62, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 in Valrico, Florida after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born April 21, 1954 in Marshfield, the son of Edward and Joann (Gennett) Weis.  He married Debra J. Tappy on October 13, 1973.

Mr. Weis graduated from Green Bay East High School in 1973.  Dennis was a compassionate and caring man that dedicated his time to several organizations.  He was a member of the Plainfield Lion’s Club, Plainfield Fire Department and was the Plainfield Middle School wrestling coach for many years.  An avid outdoorsmen, he enjoyed fishing, camping, woodworking and riding his Harley Davidson.  His greatest love was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  Dennis was employed at Nelson’s Vegetables for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Debra J. Tappy, Wisconsin Rapids; his children, Tanya (Jeremy) Laluzerne, Valrico, FL., Chad (Michele) Weis, Plainfield; his grandchildren, Courtney Weis, Justin, Jade and Jillian Laluzerne, Chance and Cayden Weis; further survived by four brothers and six sisters; further survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.
