Dianne Hill

Dianne J Hill, age 69 of Plainfield, died on December 31, 2014 at UW Hospital, Madison. She was born in Adams-Friendship on June 14, 1945 to Harvey and Lenore (Marshall) Bartman. On December 8, 1962 she married Robert L. Hill Sr. in Hancock. Diane was a stay at home mom and also worked many years as a Crossing Guard for Tri-County School District. She enjoyed handing out goodies to all the kids and during Halloween, Dianne was known as the “Soda Lady”. Dianne was a very selfless person. She would always be there to lend a helping hand and this showed by opening her home to over 16 foster children that Dianne and Robert cared for. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Dianne is survived by her children: Robert L. (Debby) Hill Jr., Dawn R. (David) Shuman, Melissa D. (Chad) Wade, Michelle Hill, all of Plainfield; two special foster sons: Randy Hoople, Hancock, Joe Hernandez, San Antonio, TX; eight grandchildren; six foster grandchildren; many great grandchildren; brother: James (Carol) Bartram, Beloit; sisters: Dorothy Lamb, Hancock, Carol (Jim) Grundy, Milwaukee; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Robert L. Hill Sr., and brother: Donald Bartram.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Monday, January 5, 2015 at Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield with burial in Plainfield Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at the funeral home from 1PM to 4PM and again on Monday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM.
