Biography
Dorothy I. Wruck, age 95, of Wautoma, died peacefully Thursday afternoon, November 11, 2010 at Heartland House in Wautoma. She was born July 12, 1915 in the Town of Deerfield, the daughter of Rudolph and Louise (Gaatz) Wegenke. She married Arthur Wruck on November 3, 1935 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wautoma. He preceded her in death in 1969. She and her late husband resided in Oshkosh for many years where she worked as a private housekeeper. She was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church in the Town of Nekimi. Dorothy also taught Sunday School and belonged to the Ladies Aid at St. John's. Later, she returned to Wautoma after the death of her husband. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Wautoma. Survivors include two sons, LeRoy (Eden) Wruck, Kulua, Hawaii, and Lavern (Lavoun) Wruck, Florence, AZ.; three grandchildren, Isabelle, Eric, and Debra; five great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.; one special sister, Margaret (Dever) Bray, Wautoma; one brother, Darwin (Irene) Wegenke, Wautoma. She is further survived by
nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Edward (Martha) Wegenke, Leonard (Edna) Wegenke, William (Gertrude) Wegenke, Elmer (Irmgard) Wegenke, Chester Wegenke, Alvin (Barbara) Wegenke; two sisters, Mabel Wegenke, and Blanche Wegenke. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wautoma with Rev. Gregory D. Hyatt officiating. Burial will be at St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Township of Nekimi, Winnebago County. Visitation will be held at the Church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
