Douglas A. Rehwinkel

Douglas Rehwinkel, age 95, of Plainfield passed away unexpectedly, Monday, July 24, 2023 at his home.

He was born December 10, 1927 in Milwaukee, the son of Norman and Mae Eversen Rehwinkel.  He married Josephine Potton on August 20, 1950 in the Plainfield United Methodist Church. She preceded him in death on July 26, 2017.

Doug was employed at Nekoosa Edwards Papermill for several years as a Railroad Maintenance worker. He also was a dedicated over the road truck driver for Plainfield Trucking for 65 years. He enjoyed working in his yard and tending to his garden. His greatest enjoyment of all, was his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Doug is survived by his children, Sharon (the late, Steve) Hadden, Douglas (Teena) Rehwinkel, Debra (Phil) Bender, Lorrie (the late, Rick) Ammel; his 14 grandchildren; his 23 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren; sister, Karen (Stu) Long; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his wife Joey, he was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Jean Rehwinkel and Barbara Summer and sons-in-law, Steve Hadden and Rick Ammel.
