Duane R.  Butolph, age 73, of Plainfield, passed away suddenly early Monday morning, October 30, 2017 at his home.

He was born January 25, 1944 the son of Fred and Lillian Breske Butolph. He married Connie Dischler on May 20, 2006 after 26 years of togetherness.

Duane was a graduate of Almond High School, he served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  A life time member of the V. F. W Post 6007 and American Legion Post 339.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  A member of Ducks Unlimited and Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and NRA.

Duane held several jobs in his early years and for the last 30 years was an over the road truck driver for Bula-Gieringer Farms.

Upon retirement he hunted and fished and grew a garden full of goodies.

He is survived by his loving wife, Connie Butolph; his stepchildren, Charlie (Krisstieann) Dischler, Arvada, CO, Scott (Karyn) Dischler, East Troy, Candace Rupple, Milwaukee, Todd Dischler, Helenville; his sister, Vivian Brewer, Washington, MO.; sister-in-law, Nancy Butolph, Almond; Further survived by 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and many special friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jerome; his sister Rosemaire Caldwell and granddaughter, Tyvitta Dischler.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2107 at 12 noon in the Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of services at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the East German Methodist Cemetery, Almond.  Send your condolences or share a memory of Duane’s with his family & friends at stahlfuneralhome.com
