Duane Goman
December 13, 1955 — October 21, 2015
Duane G. Goman, age 59 died on Wednesday morning, October 21, 2015 at St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield following a yearlong battle with cancer. He was born on December 13, 1955 in Berlin, WI to Lyle J. and Margaret M. (Hunt) Goman. At age 17 he entered the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany for 2 years and was honorably discharged. While in Germany Duane received his high school diploma. Upon returning to Plainfield, he married Pamela Jo "Pam" Czlapinski on April 30, 1977 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Duane farmed and raised his family in Plainfield and Leland, IL. Duane enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the NMMTPA. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Duane is survived by his wife Pam Goman; children: Serenity and Cassandra Goman; grandson: Cadeden Lyle Goman; siblings: Ken (Kay) Goman, Barb (John) Olsen, Karen (Bob) Johnson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Tony (Roxanne) Czlapinski, Tim (Christine) Czlapinski, Tina (Gene Schultz) Czlapinski, Tamie (Agursy) Perez, Travis (Gabriella) Czlapinski, Nona (Czlapinski-McKenzie; nieces nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 12PM (NOON) on Saturday, October 24, 2015 Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. Officiating at the service will be Pastor Eric Hughes followed by military honors and burial in the Plainfield Cemetery at a later date. The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10AM until the time of service at 12PM (NOON).
