Edwin H. Bohn, age 94, of Hancock, passed away Monday March 16, 2015 at Wild Rose Manor.
He was born April 7, 1920 in the town of Deerfield, Waushara County, the son of the Albert and Clara (Meyer) Bohn. He married Ruth Meyer on November 20, 1948 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in the town of Dakota. She preceded him in death on March 5, 2013.
Edwin was a life-long member of the Grace Lutheran Church in the town of Deerfield where he served as chairman, elder and usher. Mr. Bohn enjoyed farming, the outdoors and music. He loved to sing.
He played the accordion in a band that was often featured at Lakeside Lodge in Hancock. In the past he served on the Board of Directors for Waushara Electrical Cooperative, was treasurer of Deerfield Township and served on the Waushara County Zoning Board.
He is survived by his three children, Susan (Brent) Barta, Rice Lake, Louann (Joseph) Hudziak, Cary, IL., Timothy E. Bohn, Hancock; his sister-in-law, Pearl Haack; ten Godchildren; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers Ervin, Alvin and Arvin Bohn.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. in the Grace Lutheran Church, town of Deerfield, Waushara County with the Rev. Dale W. Bahls officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
