Elizabeth "Betty" L. (Weldon) Rumpel

Elizabeth L. “Betty” Rumpel, age 92, of Ripon, formerly of Plainfield, was reunited with her husband in Heaven on Monday, November 8, 2021.

She was born July 14, 1929 in Wisconsin Rapids, the daughter of Otis and Nellie Farrell Weldon.  She married Robert “Bob” Rumpel on July 28, 1947. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2007.

Betty was a member of the Plainfield United Methodist Church, she enjoyed being part of the “Monday Morning Coffee Group”, and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.  Betty moved to Ripon ten years ago to be closer to her family.

She is survived by her children, Susan Rumpel, LeeAnne Gaschk, Tim Rumpel, Matthew Rumpel and wife Kaye; son-in-law, Anthony Ristau; grandchildren, Mary Alonso and husband Edgar, Amy White husband Rob, Jen Waters husband Joe, Fred Ristau and wife Cherri, Renee Trochinski husband John, Kevin Gaschk and wife Megan,  Shawn Rumpel, Shannon Gray and husband Gabe, Matt Rumpel and Melissa, Katie Rumpel, Ulysses Ninnemann Wife Kikki, Celeste Zemlicka and Husband Darren, Estelle Ninnemann and Doug; great grandchildren, Zach and Zoe Alonso, Rowan White, Jadyn and Landen Waters, Breanna Nelson, Katie Snyder, Carter Doyle, Einer Ninnemann, Wyatt and Owen Gaschk, Douglas, Thomas and Elizabeth Rumpel, Austin and Coltin Gray, Ellianna Rumpel; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Brother Jerry Weldon and wife Barb. Special Friend Cindy Brodrick. Numerous Friends and Relatives she loved.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and children, Kathryn Ristau and Mary Rumpel, Brothers Jack and Jim, Sister Arlene.

Memorial Services will be held on Monday, November 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Plainfield United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.  The service will be available on zoom for those who are unable to attend.
