Floyd Brandenburg

Biography

Floyd Henry Brandenburg, age 57 of Hancock, died on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield following a long battle with cancer. He was born on November 27, 1957 in Watseka, IL to Ralph and Viola (Dubea) Brandenburg. After high school he joined the U.S. Navy and was later honorably discharged. He then married Susan Marie Stewart. Floyd drove truck for many years and was most recently employed with Plainfield Trucking. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.

Floyd is survived by his wife: Susan Brandenburg; sons: Wayne and Thomas Brandenburg; brothers: Ralph (Judy) Brandenburg, Wayne (Susan) Brandenburg, Richard Brandenburg; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Wanda Cain.

A memorial gathering will be held from 10AM until 12PM (NOON) on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. Burial will follow in Plainfield Cemetery with full military honors.
