Frank Eugene Weiss, age 73, of Plainfield, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday evening, July 5, 2017 at ThedaCare Medical Center in Wild Rose.
He was born March 12, 1944 in Joliet, Illinois; the son of Fred and Marie (Waters) Weiss. He married the love of his life Karen Kleutgen on November 14, 1964 in Joliet, Illinois. They recently celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary.
He served in the United States Army from 1962-1963. Frank was employed for over 30 years as a master Subaru mechanic. He then spent the next few years working in Florida at John Deere Manufacturing as a small engine mechanic before retiring in 2010. He moved to Plainfield in 2011, where he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. During this time he has worked for both Miller and Seneca farms on a seasonal basis.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Weiss, Plainfield; his loving children, Mark (Angela) Weiss, Plover, Annette (Tony) Perez, Wisconsin Rapids, Diana (Doug) Rehwinkel, Waupaca, Pamela (Herman) Lockhart, Plainfield; his grandchildren, Kristie (Mike) Sentkowski, Kayla Weiss (Special Friend Scott), Keith (Brooke) Lockhart, Kollin (Heather) Rehwinkel, Chelsea Perez, Michael Perez (on duty in United States Navy), Felicia Lockhart, Cheyanne Rehwinkel, Sydnie Rehwinkel, Alexandria Weiss, Derek Lockhart, and Elijah Weiss; great grandchildren Izzy Rehwinkel, Kenadie Sentkowski, Jackson Rehwinkel, and baby Lockhart due in January; Special brother and sister in laws, Skip (Carol) Kleutgen, Diane (Irv) Grimes, and Ron (Kathy) Kleutgen. His most precious pet and holder of his heart “Dubie Do”. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many special friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Marie Weiss, two brothers Fred Weiss Jr and Stanley Miner, one sister Delilah Roberts (Miner), and his son Raymond Charles Weiss.
