Geraldine "Geri" Ann (Folta) Koch

Geraldine “Geri” Ann (Folta) Koch, age 65, of Bancroft, passed away peacefully after years of battling COPD on June 12, 2017 at Willow Brooke Point in Stevens Point. She passed after her beloved Pittsburgh Penguins won the Stanley Cup.

She was born April 15, 1952 in Claridge, Pennsylvania the daughter of Walter and Florence (Draghi) Folta.  She married Gary Koch on May 5, 1973 in Claridge. In 1974, they moved to Two Rivers, WI. While there, Geri and Gary raised their 4 children and enjoyed camping and playing dartball with family and friends.

Geri and her family moved to Bancroft in 1989.  She enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, going to the casino, and taking care of her plants- while always making sure Gary planted them in the right spot. She also enjoyed watching sports, especially the Green Bay Packers, Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Penguins.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Koch, Bancroft; her loving children, Heather (Richard) Burns, AJ (Mandy) Koch, Melissa Koch and Kimberly (Paul) Zouski; her grandchildren, Kaela, Alex, Riley, Andy and Megan; her brothers, Walter Falta and Jerry (Joyce) Falta, and brothers in law, Richard Koch and Dave (Jeannie) Koch; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and parents in law Roger and Dorothy Koch.

Visitation will be from 4-6pm THursday at the Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield.  Funeral Services will be held after the visitation at 6:00 pm.. A private burial will be in the Lone Pine Cemetery, Bancroft, Wisconsin.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Tariq and the staff at St. Michaels Hospital, the staff of Willow Brooke Point and Heartland Hospice for their care and compassion during her time of need.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Bancroft Fire Department.
