Harvey W. Meddaugh

Harvey W. Meddaugh, age 88, of Bancroft, passed away peacefully, Monday, May 24, 2021 at University Hospital in Madison.
He was born March 3, 1933 in Portage County, the son of Alvick and Elveta (Nigh) Meddaugh. He married Shirley A. Meacham on January 25, 1958 in Steven Point.
Harvey was a lifelong resident of the Bancroft area, graduating from Almond High. After graduation he served his country in the United States Army. After his honorable discharge from the Army he began working at Port Edwards Paper Mill and later worked for the Portage County Highway Department for 31 years until this retirement in 1989. Harvey had a love for the outdoors, he enjoyed polka music, hunting, fishing, fox hunting with his father and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Meddaugh, Bancroft; his four sons, Dale (Pam) Meddaugh, Mark Meddaugh, Alan (Sheila) Meddaugh, Wayne (Annette) Meddaugh all of Bancroft; six grandsons and one granddaughter; five great grandchildren; further survived by other relatives and many special friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Vernon.
Private family services will take place on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 in the Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield.
