Biography

Isabel L. Garcia, age 78, of Plainfield, passed away Wednesday evening, April 13, 2011 at Crystal River Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Waupaca. She was born November 5, 1932 at San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of Jacob and Carmen Lopez. She married Jose A. Garcia. He preceded her in death on April 29, 1997. Isabel enjoyed crocheting, sewing and doing upholstery work. She was an active member of the Bancroft American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by four children, Jose (Kelly) Garcia, Oak Creek, Daniel (Lori) Garcia, Plover, Diana Loebsack, Wales, and David (Anna) Garcia, Almond; 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four brothers, Jesse (Rebecca) Lopez, Hancock, Jacob Lopez, San Antonio, Texas, Gustavo (Olivia) Lopez, San Antonio, Texas, Juan Lopez, Phoenix, AZ.; one sister, Maria Martinez, San Antonio, Texas; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and by two brothers, Jose Lopez and Robert Lopez. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at
Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home in Plainfield. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Town of Pine Grove, Portage County. Visitation will be held on Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the Funeral Home.
