James D. Johnston

J ames D. Johnston, age 23, of Bancroft, passed away unexpectedly with his loving family by his side, Monday morning, June 14, 2021 as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Portage County.

He was born December 1, 1997 in Neenah, the son of Erik Johnston and Jennifer L. Worthen.

James was a vibrant young man that enjoyed life to the fullest.  Spending time outdoors, fishing, camping, hiking, playing baseball and working on cars were his passions.  He enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and other sporting events.  Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his parents, Erik (Nicole) Johnston and Jennifer (Jacob) Worthen; his siblings, Justin and Josie Worthen, Austin Dolderer, Tucker Johnston, Blaine Gloeckler; his paternal grandparents, Bill and Bernadette Johnston and Carol Sorensen; maternal grandparents, Jim and Mary Maxwell, Phil and Shelia Worthen and Sandra Worthen; paternal great grandmother, Elizabeth Johnston; his canine companion, Nacho; further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins other relatives and many special friends.

James was preceded in death by his uncle Eric Pilsl and cousin, Michael Dunhan.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. in the Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield with the Rev. Eric L. Hambrock officiating.  Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. Friday until the time of services at the funeral home.
