Janet L. Pockat

Janet L. Pockat, age 94, of Plainfield, passed away Saturday morning, December 31, 2016 at ThedaCare Wild Rose Hospital.

She was born August 28, 1922 in Plainfield, Wisconsin the daughter of Roy Spear and Lottie (Oestreich).  She married Glen Pockat on December 8, 1952 and they had three sons; Perry, Curtis and Scott.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents; brother Milo Spear; her husband Glen; sons Curtis and Scott; and her niece Diane Flannery.

Janet was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Janet owned and operated Janet’s Floral of Plainfield for several years.  She also spent many years working as a bookkeeper.   She was an avid Packer and Brewer fan who also enjoyed golfing, bowling, sewing, making cookies, playing cards and most of all spending time with her family and friends.  Janet was a very strong, kind hearted woman who would do anything for her family.

She is survived by her son, Perry (Debbie) Pockat, Plainfield; her granddaughter, Tracy (Tom) Hiller, her great grandchildren, Kyle, Trevor and Jacob Hiller, Green Bay; her sister-in-law, Rita (Neil) Davis, Pine River; her nephews, Tom (Anita) Davis, Bill Davis, and Jim Davis.

Funeral Services will he held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield.  Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon Saturday until the time of services at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Plainfield Cemetery.
