Jeanne C. (Hetzel) Johnson

Jeanne C. Johnson, Born in West Allis, WI to Harlo and Margaret (Fields) Hetzel on March 3, 1930.

Graduated from Tri-County HIgh School, Plainfield, WI in 1948, she worked at the WI Rapids Daily Tribune for one year, then worked at the Citizens National Bank (now Bank One) in Stevens Point, WI for ten years and after moving to Hancock, WI worked for The Peoples Bank of Coloma (M&I Bank) for 20 years.

Jeanne married Gaynes Johnson on December 25, 1951 at the home of her grandparents in Plainfield, WI.

Gaynes and Jeanne owned the school buses for the Hancock Area for 15 years. After selling them, they started the Hancock Mini Storage rental business and owned until shortly after Gaynes death.

She was formerly a member of the Hancock-Coloma American Legion Auxiliary, Tri-County Threshermen's Assoc., Hancock Citizens Committee and Secretary/Treasurer of the Hancock Cemetery Association.

She is survived by her Sister-in-Law JoAnn (Sherm) Hamilton of Hancock and Sister-in-Law Mildred Johnson of Kenosha, WI, and Roma Johnson; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gaynes on August 26, 2006, her parents, grandparents, Wm. H. and M. Lydia Fields, Brother and Sister-in-law, Richard "Dick" and Jean Hetzel, Father-in-Law and Mother-in-Law, Walter B. and Vera Johnson, Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law, Elwyn and Gwen Johnson, Brothers-in-law, Philip Johnson and Arden Johnson.

Per Jeanne's wishes there will be no services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hancock Cemetery Association or the Hancock/Coloma American Legion Post 343 are appreciated.
