John H. Nelson

John H. Nelson, age 79, of Hancock, passed away Monday, January 25, 2016 at Appleton Medical Center.
He was born August 22, 1936 in Park County, Montana, the son of Haakon and Ellen (Putzker) Nelson. He married Christy Williams on June 30, 2001.
John in survived by his wife, Christy Nelson of Hancock; three stepsons, Ronnie (JoNan) Shaw, Roy Shaw, Roder (Sheila) Shaw and a stepdaughter, Debbie (Randy) Carpenter; his two sisters, Karin (Mike) Kitts and Pauline Mack; his mother-in-law, Joan “Tippy” Williams; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Harold Nelson; his father-in-law, Howard Williams and his first wife, Delores Nelson.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. Burial will be in the Colburn/Leola Cemetery at a later date.
