John W Ross Sr.

John William Ross Sr. passed away peacefully January 5th, 2020 at the Sharon Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls. John was 65 years old.

He is survived by his children Sara (Gavin) Garcia, Allison Ross and John Ross Jr. Eight grandchildren, the last being born on January 20, 2020.  Brothers, Robert (Cindy), Paul, Chris and Sister Jennifer Ross Stingl (Bill).   John’s mother, Mary Ross passed on January 26, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Ross, brother Joseph and nephew Christopher Jr.

John lived life to the fullest. He was an avid golfer, baseball player, and a great water skier - he and Pat McNamee barefooting on Silver lake.  He loved being on a lake in a speed boat.

He loved singing and music.  Many of you can remember him singing New York New York in his best Frank Sinatra and of course rock n roll.

John was born in Madison December 12, 1954, grew up in Sheboygan, attending St. Clements and North High School graduating from Cocoa Beach High School in Florida. He joined the Air Force after High School and was honorably discharged.

John lived in Sheboygan at the time of his death but he considered Wautoma and Silver Lake his home. He spent all his summers there as a kid growing up. John met his bride here as did Paul and Chris. On his wedding day, we had to find John. We knew where he could be found, standing majestically on the driving range hitting a bucket of balls at the Waushara Country Club. He was in his Tux. We all got a good laugh.

John was a salesman most of his life and worked various car dealerships in Phoenix, Wautoma and Sheboygan. Always the showman, he left you smiling after the sale.

He was a kind soul and good to all he met, most however will remember John for being the life of the party. “May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be at your back, may the sun shine warm upon your face and rains fall soft upon your fields, and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand”.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm,  Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Stahl Celebration and Remembrance Center, W7452 State Road 2173, Wautoma.
