John M. Turrubiartes

John M. Turrubiartes, age 65, of Wautoma, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly, Sunday evening September 19, 2021.

He was born December 10, 1955 in Cerrito, Mexico the son of Enrique and Maria (Torres) Turrubiartes. On May 2, 1980, he married Margaret A. Cerney and together they raised two beautiful daughters, Maria and Jessica.

John grew up in a large family and was raised and lived in the Chicago area. After graduation he continued his formal education where he received his master's degree. He also served his country in the United States Army for 17 years traveling to several countries. After his retirement, he moved to Wautoma in 1998. He enjoyed dedicating his time at the Wisconsin Veterans Homes in King, Wisconsin. John was a member of the Wolman-Minsky American Legion Post 317 of Wautoma and the Waushara Community Church.

He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Turrubiartes of Wautoma; his two daughters, Marie (Dan) Lowenthal and Jessica Turrubiartes; loving grandchildren, Gabriella and Jacob; two brother and four sisters; further survived by his nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

Funeral Services with full military honors will be held on Monday, October 11, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Waushara Community Church, Wautoma with military honors to follow. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. Monday until the time of services at the church.
