Josephine A. "Joey" (Potton) Rehwinkel

Josephine A. “Joey” Rehwinkel , age 87, of Plainfield, passed away peacefully at home, Wednesday evening, July 26, 2017 with her family at her side.

She was born January 11, 1930 in Shelby, Montana, the daughter of Harry and Ramona (Sartell) Potton.  She married Douglas Rehwinkel on August 20, 1950 in the Plainfield United Methodist Church.

Joey had many passions and talents that impacted many people around her.  Her contagious smile and sense of humor will be greatly missed.  Her greatest enjoyment of all, was her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.  Anyone who knew Joey knew that her greatest joy in life was making others happy and supporting all those she loved.

Joey is survived by her husband of 67 years, Douglas Rehwinkel, Plainfield, her children, Sharon (the late, Steve) Hadden, Douglas (Teena) Rehwinkel, Debra (Phil) Bender, Lorrie (the late, Rick) Ammel; her 14 grandchildren; her 22 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; she is further survived by brothers, sisters, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-laws, Steve Hadden and Rick Ammel; brothers, James and Gary Potton and sister, Nancy Potton.
