Joshua D. Durrant

Joshua D. Durrant, age 34, of Hancock, passed away unexpectedly in the early morning hours of February 1st at Wausau Aspirus Hospital.

He was born March 6th, 1987; the son of Matthew and Ruth Ann Durrant; in Stevens Point, WI.

Josh graduated from Tri County High School in 2005 and continued working alongside his dad. Whether it was the salvage business they shared, diesel and tractor mechanics, or farming and raising hogs; they were like a pair of shoes—rarely did you see one without the other… treading along the paths of life.

Josh was an awesome soul, with a tender loving heart of gold-that was as big as he was! Always willing to help anyone, any way he could. With a quick wit and sense of humor, he was a true joy to be around; and admired by many.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapshooting. He also enjoyed metal fabricating and carpentry. Electrical or mechanical, if it Josh couldn’t fix it, it was time for a new one!

Josh is survived by his mom, Ruth Ann; sister Andrea, her children Adeline and Hoyt; uncle Mark (Stacy) Durrant, Aunt Darlene Corbeille, uncles Tom, Kevin and Ron Watermolen; many cousins, friends, and his faithful dog, Rowdy.

He was preceded in death by his father Matthew Durrant, uncle Todd Durrant, uncle Jerry & aunt Judy Watermolen; and his grandparents; Delvin & Donna Durrant, and Clifford & Adeline Watermolen.

Services are private, honoring the family’s wishes.

Deeply love and miss you big guy! The shoes are again a pair as you walk alongside Dad on yet another path….
