Joyce C. (Peterson) Tabat

Joyce C. Tabat, age 93, of Wautoma, passed away peacefully September 21, 2023 at Heartland House, Wautoma.

She was born May 27, 1930 in Milwaukee the daughter of Roy and Anne  Peterson. She was married to Clifford “Woody” Tabat. He preceded her in death on July 16, 1997.

Joyce was a homemaker and resided with her family in the Milwaukee area most of her life.  There she enjoyed baking, gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She was also an avid reader and active church member.  She later moved to Wautoma where she enjoyed spending time with friends and family.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wautoma.

Joyce is survived by her two children, Jane (Special friend, Don Netzler) Heding, Wautoma and Jeff (Carol) Tabat; her grandchildren, Adam, Paul (Amy), Tim, Don and Bill (Sophia); her four great grandchildren, Nicole, Will, Charlotte and Theo; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the Stahl Celebration and Remembrance Center, Wautoma.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the Remembrance Center.  Burial will be held on Thursday at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Milwaukee at 12:00 noon.
