Biography
Judy Ann Wenzel, age 66 of Coloma, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was born on May 6, 1947 in Clarkfield, MN to Warren and Marilyn (Hegna) Johnson. On April 8, 1967 Judy was united in marriage to Fred Wenzel Jr. in Coloma, WI. Judy worked for 27 years at Coloma Elementary School as the Head Cook. She was always looking for bargains at rummage sales or on QVC. Judy enjoyed canning with her sisters, scrapbooking, taking yearly trips back to Minnesota to see her family and spending special time with her grandchildren. Her hair style was important to her and made sure that Marliss and Nancy did her hair. Judy will be sadly missed by her family and friends
Judy is survived by her husband: Fred Wenzel, Jr., Coloma; Daughter: Becky (Steve) Sexe, Milton; son: Brian (Andrea) Wenzel, Wautoma; step daughters: Kelly (Bill) Sosinsky, Neshkoro, Cheri (Rob) Larsen, Hawaii; grandchildren: Brooke and Brandon Sosinsky, Briana and Melissa Sexe, Hailey Wenzel; mother: Marilyn Johnson, Berlin; sisters: Bev (Pat) Ruedinger, Oshkosh, Wendy (Danny) Tindall, Berlin, Barb (Dennis) Nighbor, Princeton, Vicky (Ray) Clark, Berlin, Mary Lou (Jim) Yerk, Berlin, Dawn (Ron) Inda, Mosinee; brothers: Dale Johnson, Berlin, David (Laurie) Johnson, Berlin, Dan (Mia) Johnson, Berlin; sister-in-law: Carolyn Pomplun; aunts, uncles, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father: Warren Johnson; brother: Chucky Johnson; nephews: Chad Tindall, Ritchie Clark, Ryan Clark; father-in-law: Fred Wenzel Sr.; mother-in-law: Lilas Wenzel and brothers-in-law: Elmer Pomplun and Jack Wenzel.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 29, 2013 at 4PM at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Coloma with Rev. Kelli Fisher officiating. Burial will be in Prince of Peace Lutheran Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday at church from 1PM until the time of services at 4PM. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in Judy's name.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Wild Rose Hospital Staff and Dr. Caves for the wonderful care, Heartland House, Agnesian Healthcare Hospice Hope and everyone who expressed their love to Mom during her brief illness.
