Kathleen A. (Lukens) Welter, age 68, of Almond, passed away Monday evening, April 16, 2019 at the Wild Rose Manor.
Kathleen was born to Lee and Gloria Lukens on July 6, 1950 and grew up in Oconomowoc, WI.
Kathleen graduated high school in 1968. She worked at various restaurants until the early 1980’s. It was while working at the Bavarian Cottage she met the love of her life, Lee, whom she has been married to for almost 41 years.
After settling in Almond, she worked for Waushara Gardens in Plainfield for 10 years. She enjoyed traveling around the state selling flowers to florists and at farmers markets. When she retired from the flower business, she started growing a large plot of her own flowers for her enjoyment sharing the bounty with many people. She had a love for dogs and cats throughout her life. She was truly a nature lover feeding birds and tending to wildlife.
She is survived by her husband, Lee Welter, Almond; her daughter, Sonya (George) and their daughter, Eloise; her mother, Gloria Lukens, Waupaca; her sisters, Sue Thurston, Almond, Judy (George) Westveer, Almond, Tracy (John) Grzywacz, Gleason, WI, and her brother, Brian Lukens.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lee Lukens and her brother, Mike Lukens.
