Kenneth "Ken" A. Mykisen

Kenneth A. Mykisen, age 74, of Bancroft, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Stevens Point Aspirus Hospital.

He was born February 11, 1949 in Illinois, the son of the late Stanley and Doris (Michels) Mykisen.  He married Nancy K. McIntee on May 1, 1971.

Ken grew up in the Almond area where he graduated high school and later enlisted the United States Army and served during Vietnam.  Ken was employed at 3M for several years before his retirement.  He enjoyed the outdoors, watching birds and being around family and friends.  Ken was an active community member serving with the Bancroft Lions Club and Bancroft American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy K. Mykisen, Bancroft; his loving daughter and son-in-law, Kelly (Gary) Fowler; his grandchildren, Tucker Fowler and Kendra Fowler; his siblings, four brothers and three sisters; a special sister-in-law, Donna McIntee-Brooks; further survived by his beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, two brothers-in-law and his father-in-law.

Funeral services with full military honors will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield with the Pastor Jeff Silha officiating. Visitation will be held from 10: a.m. Saturday until the time of services.
