Laddie M. Strejc

Laddie M. Strejc , age 85, of Marshfield, Wisconsin, formerly of Hancock, Wisconsin passed away Saturday evening, May 27, 2023 at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield.

He was born January 1, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois the son of Laddie J. and Mildred G. (Vynalek) Strejc.  He married Bonnie Moore May 11, 1963 (divorced) and married Arlene L. Cichy on May 18, 1990.  Arlene preceded him in death on May 17, 2010.

Laddie graduated from York Community High School and later from Michigan College of Mining & Technology (now Michigan Technological University) with a degree in Forestry. He served our country in the United States Navy.  Laddie was active in many community organizations including the Wausau Rotary Club, Hancock Lions Club, Hancock/Coloma American Legion Post 343 and the Hancock Area Veterans Association. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and carpentry.

He is survived by his children, Kristen Gast of Augsburg, Germany, Jill Strejc, Los Angeles, CA and Grant (Krisan) Strejc, Marshfield; grandchildren, Gineva, Jerry, Gavin Strejc and Jonathan Gast, step-grandson, Alek Glenzer; his brother, Robert (Diana) Strejc, Winter Haven, FL; and further survived by other relatives and friends.

Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday June 6 at 11:00 a.m. in the Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield with full military honors to follow.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services. Laddie will be laid to rest in the Hancock Cemetery.
