Larry G Hetzel, age 56, of Wild Rose, passed away peacefully, Tuesday afternoon, August 16, 2016, after a courageous battle against cancer.
He was born September 19, 1959 in Wild Rose, the son of Robert and Donna (Walters) Hetzel. He married Cassandra A. Wallace on May 4, 1996.
Larry was most recently employed at Wild Rose Manor as the Director of Maintenance, but spent most of his career driving over the road (commercial) semi-trucks and tour buses. When Larry wasn’t on the road, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Larry’s first passion was playing the drums, whether it was with bands, teaching his son Robert how to play, or drumming on the dashboard of his car (or the person in the passenger seat). All of us will remember Larry for his music and his infectious laugh; both equal in volume…”How ‘bout it?”
He is survived by his wife, Cassandra A. Hetzel, Wild Rose; four children, Tiffny (Eric) Neuber, Robert Hetzel, Stacie (Steve) Gray, Tony Derro; his granddaughter, Skylar Neuber; his brother, Jerry (Cheryl) Hetzel; sister-in-law, Wendy Hetzel; mother-in-law, Carolyn Wallace; his father-in-law, William (Angel) Wallace; further survived by Nancy Schmidt (Hetzel), nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Donna Hetzel, and his brother James (Jim) Hetzel.
