Biography
Lauraine E. Bray, age 82, of Wautoma, passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 19, 2013. She was born on March 17, 1931, in Velva North Dakota, the daughter of Edward and Theresa (Buccholtz) Erdmann. After high school she attended Milton Wesleyan College in 1953. Lauraine married Edwin A. Bray on December 27, 1958, at the Little Brown Church in the Vale, in Nashua, IA. In 1980, Lauraine graduated from Fox Valley Technical College as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She loved to garden, sew, embroider, taking pictures, spending time helping children and she collected salt & pepper shakers and wildlife prints avidly. Lauraine was a member of Crossroads Family Church in Wautoma, and prior to that a long-time member of the Hancock Wesleyan Church of Hancock, WI. She belonged to Waushara County Homemakers Club for many years and was involved in many fairs and special events.
Lauraine is survived by her daughter, Debra Reynolds of Redgranite; son, Robert (Kerri) Bray of Hancock; six grandchildren, Kish (Jim) Herrmann, Terah (Matt) Johnson, Nathan and Hannah Reynolds, Katy and Hattie Bray; nine great-grandchildren, Ashley, Evan, Ellese, Abby, Kailey, Isaiah, Juleanna, Landon, and Kinsey; two sisters, Irene Bean and Lydia Laboy, one brother, Raymond Erdmann; three sisters-in-law, Doris Klusmeyer, Louise Erdmann and Margaret Bray; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin Bray; a granddaughter, Rebekah; her parents; and three sisters; one brother; eight sister-in-laws and two brother-in-laws.
A funeral service for Lauraine Bray will take place on Thursday, May 23, 2013, at 11:00 am, with visitation starting at 9:00 am, at Crossroads Family Church, 640 South Water Street, Wautoma, WI, with the Rev. David Reilly officiating. Interment will follow the service and luncheon at the Woodville Cemetery, Hancock.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Lauraine's name.
