Lawrence J. Czlapinski

Lawrence "Larry" J. Czlapinski, age 84, of Bancroft, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday evening, July 20, 2023 at his home.  He was born May 22, 1939 in Grand Rapids, the son of Martin A. and Myrtle L. (Westover) Czlapinski, Jr.  He married Shirley on June 14, 1958, together they have enjoyed 65 years of marriage.

Larry served his country in the United States Air Force from 1956-1964.  He was always telling anyone that would listen to his stories about his time served.  He loved to play cards and dice with family and friends. He also liked to build condominiums for the birds and planting flowers kept him busy. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Shirley; his children, Jody (Richard) Lucas, Dennis Czlapinski, Gayle (Rick) Swanson, Judi (David) Bacon, Jeff Czlapinski, Laura Saeger, Brenda (Eric) Uplinger; Grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; his brother, Fred (Linda) Czlapinski; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
