Lee Roy Holmes

Lee R. Holmes , age 79, of rural Hancock, passed away Thursday morning, June 11, 2020 after a short illness.

He was born April 5, 1941 in Waushara County, the son of Darwin and Florence (Hamilton) Holmes.  Lee never married.

Lee was a very kind man that worked hard for what he had.   His family was most important in his life.  He worked many jobs over his 79 years, starting at Burns Farms in Almond and later taking a job as a maintenance worker for the Town of Colburn and lastly, he enjoyed the harvest seasons at Del Monte as a machine operator.

Lee leaves behind is loving sister, Thelma R. (Teddy) Safian, Hancock; further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and his many special co-workers at Del Monte.  A special thank you to his neighbor Mari for her care and compassion for Lee.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Shirley and Eva; niece, Marla and brother-in-law, Ronald.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 15, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield.
