Lugene L. Koats

Lugene L. Koats, age 77, of Neshkoro, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Appleton Medical Center.
He was born August 4, 1943 in Berlin, to Richard and Lila Philbrick Koats. He married Susan L. Sauer on August 5, 1967 in Neshkoro.
Lugene graduated from Westfield High School in 1961. After graduation he worked at the Berlin Foundry as a Pattern Storage Clerk for 43 years until his retirement. Lugene was a man that took great pride in his family. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons and grandchildren and helping others in the community.
He is survived by his wife, Susan L. Koats, Neshkoro; his sons, Terry (Kay) Koats, Carey (Candy) Koats, Jerry (Jenni) Koats; his grandchildren, MacKenzie, Caleb, Collin, Kayley, Karigan, Mitchell and Nicole; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, his brother Dennis and his father and mother-in-law, Alvin and Erna Sauer.
