Marlene Ann Soborowicz, age 84, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon, November 12, 2022 at Meriter Hospital in Madison.

She was born August 22, 1938 in Stanley, Wisconsin the daughter of Frank and Rose (Pietrzak) Ciolkosz.

On August 23, 1958 she married Frank Soborowicz in Thorp, Wisconsin and together they enjoyed 64 years of marriage. They began their life together in Bartlett, Illinois where they resided for 30 years before retiring to Lake Sherwood in the town of Rome and then finally settling in to their woodside home in Wisconsin Rapids. Marlene was a Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR races, working in her flower garden and listening to Polka music. She was a faithful member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Plainfield where she served on many ministries including the ladies PCCW.

Marlene was most happy when she was hosting get togethers, whether it was the annual Bears-Packers party, the monthly ladies card club group or simply the every Sunday get togethers with her grandchildren and great grand kids, Marlene loved to entertain and enjoyed being with her family.

Marlene is survived by her husband, Frank; her children, Dawn Blaser (Matt Church) of Port Edwards, WI and Terry Soborowicz (Candy Jerzyk) ofElgin, IL ; her grandchildren, Melanie (Jesse) McDonald, Erica (Matt) Senn, Adam Schaal, Leigh-Anne (Justin Bemos) Libby, Dylan Soborowicz, Marena Dreiling, Cole Dreiling; her great grandchildren, Bradan Johnson, Myles Stelzer, Hartlee “ Plum ” McDonald; two step great grandchildren, Ryan and Andrew Senn; along with siblings, Irene Haas, Phyllis Skaleski and Judy Foster; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Denise Dreiling, great granddaughter, Harper Marie McDonald, brothers Rudy and Phil Ciolkosz and sisters Doris Healy and Sylvia Przybylski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Catholic Church, Plainfield. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of services at the church.
