Marvin B. Shackelford
August 4, 1933 — January 31, 2018
Marvin B. Shackelford, age 84, of Bancroft, passed away Wednesday morning, January 31, 2018 at his home after a short illness.
He was born August 4, 1933 in Kingsville, Missouri the son of John and Bernita M. (Ayler) Shackelford. He married Shirley Allen on August 31, 1951 in Holden, Missouri.
Marvin was a southern man that enjoyed family and conversations with neighbors, family and friends. He had an affectionate smile and a great sense of humor, loved all his family and would do anything for anybody. He was a mechanic for several years before moving to Bancroft. He was also a hams radio operator for many years.
Family would like to Thank all the staff at Aspirus Wausau Hospital for their excellent care and would also like to thank Heartland Hospice for helping us through our difficult time.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Shackelford, Bancroft; his children, Marvena, Bill, Mike, Starla (Michael), Stormy, Tina (Rich), Tracy (Carol) and Melanie (Michael); 22 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, 2 sisters, his son and a great granddaughter
