Mary Rutherford

Mary A. Rutherford, age 81, of Superior, formerly of Plainfield, passed away Saturday morning, July 18, 2015 at her home at Golden Living Center in Superior.
She was born May 4, 1934 in Fremont, Wisconsin the daughter of Donald and Mayme (Diely) Walrath. She married Tom H. Rutherford on July 23, 1955. They later divorced 25 years later.
Before moving to Superior to be closer to her daughter, Mary lived at the Cotton Wood Apartments in Plainfield. Mary loved Holidays and always enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers. She attended the University of Stevens Point where she received her two year teaching degree. After years of teaching, Mary became a nanny for five years. She was a Girl Scout leader for many years. While in Plainfield, she would attend the senior center for lunch and helping with the various activities such as bake sales and playing games. She loved to eat at Fran's, Ron's and Plainfield Bowl. Mary also participated in "Heart-to-Heart", thru Tri-County Schools. She was a member and attended the United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children, Kathy Rutherford, Superior, Linda (Mark) Kotolski, Plainfield; granddaughter, Stephanie (Don) Worley, Rice Lake, Tracie (Robert) Snider, Amherst, Cece Kotolski, LA.; grandson, Chris (Bree) Kotolski, Plainfield; great grandchildren, Carrie, Kyle, Quin and Shay; her twin sister, Donna (Henry) Hamann; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Randy and grandson, Stephen Rutherford.
