Matthew P. Durrant, age 60, of Hancock, passed away suddenly, October 15, 2021 at his home of a heart condition.
He was born November 21, 1960 in Richland Center, Wisconsin the son Delvin J. and Donna M. (Roloff) Durrant. He married Ruth Ann Watermolen, on a sunny and 70 degree February 21, 1987 day.
Matthew was born in Richland Center and moved to Hancock area in 1965. Always working, Matt had many endeavors – from milking cows to raising hogs, he enjoyed farming. An owner/operator for many years hauling corn, potatoes and many loads of pulp wood to Nekoosa Mill. He worked with is his father Durrant Auto Crushing before establishing his own salvage operation, with his son at the side. Also an ace mechanic, he was proud to share all his knowledge with his kids. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife and partner of 41 years, Ruth Ann Durrant; two children, Joshua Durrant and Andrea Durrant; two loving grandchildren, Adeline Mae and Hoyt Matthew; his brother, Mark (Stacy Kniprath) Durrant; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Todd.
