Myra K. Glaske, age 70, of Appleton, formerly of Hancock, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015 at her residence, surrounded by her family.
She was born February 11, 1945 in Elkhorn, the daughter of Edward and Helen (Galetka) Hartman. She married Donald H. Glaske on June 13, 1964 at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Plainfield. He preceded her in death on January 12, 2007.
Myra was a 1963 graduate of Tri-County High School. Over the years, she worked part time as a waitress which allowed her to be a homemaker as well. Myra loved cooking, baking, sewing, camping, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Myra also enjoyed watching the Packers, Badgers and NASCAR. She believed it was okay to eat dessert first or only dessert and there was no such thing as too much coffee. She will fondly be remembered by her family and friends as someone you could always count on.
She is survived by her two daughters, Debbie (Jeff) Ginzl, Pulaski, Terri (Chad) Gillen, Appleton; her son Don (Sheila) Glaske, Mackville; Eight grandchildren, Jordan, Josh, Jake, Hannah, Sarah, Brooke, Dane and Drew; Three sisters, Nancy Holden, Vicki (Gary) Schoenbeck, Tammy (Bob) Sterken; further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.
In addition to her husband Don, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Eugene "Zeke" and Leon Holden.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Plainfield with burial in the Hillside Cemetery, Coloma. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday at the Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home and from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
