Nancy (Leavitt) Shambaugh

Nancy Jean Shambaugh, age 71, of Bancroft, passed away, Saturday, March 15, 2025, at her home.

Nancy was born on December 2, 1953 in Wisconsin Rapids to Norman and Flossie (Cain) Leavitt. She graduated from Almond-Bancroft High School and worked for many years as a potato farm worker until her retirement. Nancy enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening, and tending to her flowers. She always made holidays special for her family.

Nancy is survived by her daughters: Lori Shambaugh of Bancroft, WI., Jena (John) McKinley of Rosemount, MN; grandchildren: Brittany Garcia, Monica Herrera, Cole McKinley, Kaylee Cumberland, Jayden Cumberland, Ava McKinley; great-grandchildren: Liam Nendze, Adalina Mata; her siblings: Susan Riemer of Wes Laco, TX, Norman Leavitt of Bancroft, WI, Sally Leavitt of Bancroft, WI, Cindy Lehman of Rosholt, WI, Connie (Mark) Lindner of Willard, WI, and Steve (Marg) Leavitt of Plover, WI.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Flossie, son Tyler Cumberland, and life-long companion Doug King.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Stahl Funeral Home in Plainfield. Visitation for family and friends will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home, and again from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service on Friday. Burial will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Aspirus Home Health Care and occupation therapy, especially Darcy and Kristie for their exceptional care.

Following the service, all are invited to a luncheon at 8474 Harding Rd. Bancroft, WI 54921. There will be time to share your favorite memories of Nancy.
