Patricia "Pat" L. (Tritt) Nigbor

Patricia L. “Pat” Nigbor, age 85, of rural Redgranite, passed away peacefully Monday morning, February 3, 2025 at Heartland House.

She was born December 13, 1939 in Omro, the daughter of Basil and Lela (Fondel) Tritt. She married Robert J. Nigbor on August 11, 1958 in Iowa.

Pat grew up in the Redgranite area where she attended Berlin High School and later met and married Robert “Bob” Nigbor.  Together they raised two children on the family farm.  Pat was a hard working lady, who worked several years at the Berlin Foundry and always found time to help work and drive tractor every spring and fall on the family farm. She and Bob enjoyed traveling south for the winter to Texas.  She enjoyed spending time in the outdoors working on the farm also finding time to turkey and deer hunt. In her earlier years, she enjoyed playing softball and always enjoyed watching sports, especially the Green Bay Packers. Pat enjoyed monthly get togethers with her sisters in Redgranite for pizza.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Robert “Bob” Nigbor; her loving children, Robert (Charlotte) Nigbor and Judi (Kathy) Nigbor; three grandchildren; Sara (Joseph) Reinsbach, Steven (Hailey) Nigbor and Eric Nigbor; five great grandchildren, Meradeth, Natasha, Ellie, Bodhi and Lucie; her four sisters, Marilyn (Richard) Spiczenski, Virginia “Gert” Wichman, Sally (William) Schmelzer and Lynette “PeeWee” (Thomas) Littwin; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother: Lela (Fondel) Tritt and stepfather, Herb Goodwin; father, Basil Tritt; two sisters, Karen Sergo and Jo Carpenter and brother, Buck Tritt.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the spring with dates and times to be announced.
